Operation of Muslim Children
In May 18,2003 is the schedule of the operation of harelip children they
are Muslim. They are living in Pagalungan and Pikit. At 12:00 noon we went
to Pagalungan to fetch the children and their parents for the operation
in Maharlika foundation in Davao City. There are four children that was
schedule to be operated in May 20,2003, they are Amera, Abukar, Nacer,
and Razed.
They are very poor and they cannot afford to pay for the operation. We
also found out that their children have no birth certificate and other
parents of the children don't even know the age of their child. We help
then to provide of their birth certificate as requirements for the operation. At 3:00
p.m. we went to Davao with the children and their parents. We stay at St.
Jerome house at Sasa Davao City the connection of "e;Our Lady of Victory Learning Center"e; that was offered
for us by sister Wood, when we asked her for the place for us to stay with
the children, at the time of operation. We sleep and eat with them for
3 nights.
In May 20, 9:00 A.m. was the
schedule of operation and it finished at 12:00 noon. In May 21, at 8:00 A.m. We
went to OLV to give thanks to sister Wood to allow us to stay to one their
house in Sasa Davao City.
That
day also we comeback at Kidapawan after sending them to Pikit the children and
their parents are very happy for the success of operation. We are also happy
for them because we help people who need help.
We the staff of the MCL (Mindanao
Children's Library) likes to ask our heartfelt thanks to the people who
supported us for our medical project.
