Primary purpose

1. Communication through books

　　　We would like to distribute old tales and fairy tales in Visayan and native dialects. We also publish booklets regularly. We also searching for the possibility of communication with those who are involved in Museo Pambata in Manila and ACCU (Asian Culture Center of Unesco) main office in Japan like painters, editors, and authors. We will contact with LFAC (Libra fund for Asian Children), main office is in Tokyo, which promote the library movement in Thailand and Sri Lanka. too.
　　The main purpose of Mindanao Children’s Library is to provide the children and the young the opportunities to know the pleasure of social activities, creative works, editing, reading, writing, and painting in their young hood. Especially we put the poor children at the center of this activity, but in the near future, we want to expand of this action towards the other poor young people.

2. House Library and Reading

　　We visited remote area and barangays for reading picture books with the staff of Mindanao Children’s Library.
　　Through the reading activity, we aim to let the eyes of the children open to the pleasure of reading books and with the introduction of the various picture books. We expect that both parents and children will have interest in reading books.
　　After often visiting the particular areas at center of Kidapawan, and after their having interest in reading books, as the second step, we set up “Box Library”.  We at first make some boxes in which we put some sets of books, and once a month we change the contents so that children may read other books at regular intervals.
　　The third step we put our books in the “House Library” as a branch of MCL (Mindanao Children's Library Foundation Inc,). We ask somebody who is interesting in education and reading to allow us set up books library in his/her house and open the library for the children so that everyday they may enjoy reading at the house. The children can also barrow books they like anytime. This is the beginning of the House Library. We list up and handle all the books in the computer at the library. At the respective house libraries, the owner of the house is expected to check up the borrowing lists.
　　We can provide mental care through reading and storytelling everywhere like orphanage or especially at evacuation centers.

Secondary purpose
1. Medical Project

　　Medical Project is the project that can help to those children that has any defect in their lives especially hare-lipped children.
　　 It is not a big organization but we provide medicine not so much because we prioritize a reading activity. It is not a medical mission but it is only a medical project, a small project. And not all the time MCL （Mindanao Children's Library Foundation Inc,）provides medicine for these children. It must be in step-by-step method.
　　We are going to support those children because we want to help them. And reading in different Indigenous places is the most important activity in this organization to help the children not in physically but emotionally. These children need a lot of attention from the sacrifices they experienced. Their feeling has a lot of fear and frightened from the shooting they encounter, lack of attention from anybody, and many problems in their lives during their childhood life.
　　 Children are the center of this activity. And everywhere we go we focused children especially Muslims and Lumad children.The medical project will depend from the help of the other people and it depends on the budget that we have.


2.Scholarship
　　We give scholarship grants to poor but deserving children in higher education (high school and college). Now we give scholarship for only staff of MCL（Mindanao Children's Library Foundation Inc,） Giving priority in the fields of education, art and culture,medicine, but in the future we want make a scholarship for most especially Lumads and Muslim children.

3. Shelter for children and Orphanage

　　We also would like to be a temporary shelter for limited number of children and limited time, feeding during calamities like streetchildren and refugees.
　　In the future, the foundation would like to operate an small orphanage, which would focus on helping displaced children in the evacuation areas victimized by the conflict rising between the government troops and Muslim rebels. Muslim, Lumads and Christian Children that ages from 5 years old up to 18 years of age, by that time the child can decide on their own.
